2013 Convertible roof and rear suspension
So guys I am looking to buy this 2013 Mustang convertible and brought my friend today who is a mechanic. We found a couple of things I have questions on. #1 look at the inside of the roof there seems to be a small part where a flap came undone. Anyone familiar with this and how much it costs to repair? Also has anyone had any issues with a knock coming from the rear suspension on the 2013? We felt like the end links were needing replacement at 43000 miles. I want to buy this car so any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Here is the part that came undone while the roof is closed on the inside.
You can see it center as its folding
Here is a close up as it is folding.

It is hard to say how much it will cost to fix. Best to call some convertible top places in your area and ask. Sending/showing them the phone’s or bringing them the car would help.
As for the suspension issue, noises like that can come from any number of places. Could be bad control arm bushings, sway bar end links, sway bar bushings, loose/bad exhaust hangers, improperly installed aftermarket exhaust… the list goes on… It is difficult for us to diagnose noise issues from our keyboards. Either go with your friends recommendation (which is an inexpensive and easy part to replace), or jack the rear up yourself and have a look…
Good luck...
