Are you the original owner? Usually they send the notice to the original owner of the car only.

That may explain why I didnt get one Vert^ Thanks for the heads up. Stupid question, but the recall is tied to the VIN right? So no matter who has the car or which owner its on, they can get it recalled? (First recall I've had to go through, stupid Takata)

I'm the original owner although I did move to a new house 3 years ago so maybe that's why I didn't get the notice. haha

yes. safety recalls are repaired at no cost to the owner even if you're not the original owner, and no matter how long the vehicle has been out of warranty.

I never received a notice on the earlier recall. I was thinking Ford may have filtered out those who had the recall performed prior to the date Ford started mailing notices. Maybe that is not the reason. Maybe they screwed up. I bought the car new and did not change my address since the initial registration.

Thanks for the info guys. Well whatever it is, it is good we know from this site! A good resource we have :P I feel horrible for Ford for the absolute mess Takata has made of the car industry now. *sigh*

My dealer showed me on mine that only the passenger side was affected, but I got it done a month ago. Took 2 weeks to get it in. When I saw this recall I typed in my vin but nothing came up for either side.

The sites that I have seen listing recalls only list recalls that have not been performed. Once you had the recall done, it would disappear from the list. The passenger side recall was before the driver side recall prior to the current one. The current one probably doesn't show up because it hasn't been processed by VIN yet. As to why the prior driver side recall didn't show up, I have no idea.

Glad this got posted, as I was never informed either and probably wouldn't have even been aware of this issue

I know the list has been growing and growing, Art161. I’m happy to check your VIN for you. Please PM me with it so I can help.

I never got a recall notice.
I know the letters are sent to whatever address the DMV has on file for the vehicle, 2007CalSpec. I’m happy to check on it for you if you’d like. Please PM me with your VIN, full name, and address.

Yes, Mobiusone stang. It stays with the vehicle.

The 2012s were just added and the notices won’t go out until next month, Epona. I’m happy to check your VIN for you as well.
