I love my BOSS 302.....and I'm about to love it even more this weekend when I install my Procharger Stage II kit.

I've had a supercharged 2005 GT, 2008 Shelby GT500 & 2003 Kenne Bell powered Terminator....and this car is by far the most fun to drive all around.

Regarding the price, yeah $38K is definitely a little higher than what I've been seeing them go for recently. My borther in law just purchased a 2012 Race Red BOSS 302 for $36K-$37K...around the same mileage.....but I also realize that sometimes different areas of the United States command different values.

Good Luck!

Seems overpriced to me. I'd rather have a 13-14 and mod the heck out of it for less money in the end.

That's what I was saying. You can pick up a non premium 13/14 gt track pack and have almost 15k to make car however you want. That's enough to forge the motor, add a supercharger and do plenty of suspension work. Plus you can go auto or stick. Just can't have the track pack with an auto. That's just me. I know a boss is a boss but with that kind of work the GT will far surpass the stock boss in every category with the exception of collectiblity/exclusivity.

My interest in a Shelby or a Boss Mustang is exclusivity. A similar comparison is a restomod 69 Mustang and a 69 Boss 302. Sure the restomod will run circles around the Boss 302, but the Boss is an Exclusive model. The modern Boss 302s bring on more exclusivity than modern Shelby Mustangs in my opinion. In my situation I would want something my wife is willing to drive and that means an automatic. So I am still leaning towards a new EB Convertible. I know its not an exclusive model, but who knows if a late mode Shelby drop top auto comes my way then maybe.

I love built modern Mustangs. Fantastic performance as well. I have mild mods on my 65 that really make it a nice car to drive.

Seems like a dealer asking 38k, you will likely get the price down and it will be on par with some of your estimated values of low to mid 30s. Believe me I would pull the trigger on that if they came with autos.

I'd take a Boss over the EcoBoost 10/10 times. (We have an EcoBoost Mustang FWIW).

The 2015's are very comfortable and definitely have a better interior than the S197 platform, but the Boss is worlds apart from the EcoBoost.

Any chance your wife would learn how to drive a manual?
