2006 Mustang V6 Clutch won't disengage
I have a 2006 Mustang V6. While driving home tonight, the clutch dropped down to the floor and then became non-operational as I could not disengage the clutch. I noticed a small black plastic ring that had broken and come off, also I noticed a small amount of fluid coming from the area around the clutch. I have looked around a little bit and think maybe I need a clutch master cylinder, but I am generally unsure. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be extremely appreciated. The stang is just a few blocks from my house now, and I would much prefer fixing this on my own if possible rather than taking it in to the dealership. I have basic hand tool knowledge, but other than that my technical knowledge is very limited.

Broken clutch trunnion
That is the clutch rod trunnion that broke. There is a thread on how to repair it without replacing the whole clutch master cylinder.

If you want to get it home you can carefully line up the rod with the clutch pedal at the point where they normally would connect. that should give you a few presses of the clutch before it pops off and you have to get back under there and line it up again.
