Angry 2009 GT P0018 P0022 P0300 P0305 P0316

My fathers 09 GT with 37k miles (always kept up with maintenance) is throwing codes and runs/sounds like its only running on 6 or 7 cylinders. I haven't turned up much on google but sounds like a possible Variable Timing Solenoid failure on the drivers side. Hes got the hotrod cams in it so it runs rough anyway as it is kinda hard to diagnose the noises and idle.

Anyways is there any sure way to tell if its the solenoid or the phasers before taking off the valve coves? Feel free to post your .02 cents

Mustang P0018 Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation
Mustang P0022 "A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded
Mustang P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
Mustang P0305 Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected
Mustang P0316 Engine Misfire Detected on Startup (First 1000 Revolutions)

When were the cams installed? Did these problems begin right after?

Bought new Variable Timing Solenoid from ford dealer, changed out drive side one and it fixed the problem.
