What's going on with my exhaust? New install shaking car at idle
-Edit- I used the wrong word in the title, I should have said: new install SHAKING my car at idle.
Hey, can anyone shed some light onto this:
I just had an exhaust shop convert my single exhaust into a dual exhaust.
Everything seems okay until I idle. Each and every time I stop, the car shakes as if I have the bass of a song up really high. It shakes everything and my seat feels like an earthquake is happening. Once I move the car forward, either via pushing the gas, or freely down a hill -- even the slightest bit -- the shaking completely subsides. Has this happened to any of you, and how is it fixed? I need to take my car back to the shop but I kind of want to know what's going on before driving over there. I am not sure how skilled they are with this type of work.
I also noticed that they spot-welded the tailpipes on.... is that considered an okay thing to do?

this happend with me when i got my pipebombs i took it to the shop and they said it was the timing so they replaced the timing chain and some other crap,it still kept doing it..finally they figured out the car needed to be tuned so they installed an SCT tune and i havent had any problems since but i still had to pay for the timing parts!

Spot welded? To what?
An area to check is the hangars, specifically the two on either side of the transmission mount. I had metal to metal contact there, and it vibrated the chassis. Easy fix.

Hmm, you took your Mustang to a shop and
?? Have you looked under your car to see what they did?
Did they make the dual exhaust or use a reliable mfg like Magnaflow?
