2005-2009 Mustang GT Manual
Hello guys, I'm looking for a 05-09 Mustang GT-s and I cannot seem to notice that there are two different engines on those models (at least they look different) is there any difference? If so, which one would you recommend?

Something to be aware of, the one with the intake cover also has an after market cold air intake installed. You should ask if the car comes with a tuner since it's possible that the car is running a custom tune. If that is the case, you may have problems if you try to add something that requires a tune because the car isn't running the stock tune, a tuner that you purchase may not work until the car has been returned to stock. Then you'd need to know what other mods have been done.

For the OP though, the engines are the same, it's just the cover and the aftermarket air intake that are different.

I can't see from the pictures but take a close look under the hood of the 2008. See if the ignition coil boots are brown or black.
The brown booted coils are desired since that means the sparkplugs are the revised (late 08) one-piece short style vs the older long two-piece plugs that problematic in all 4.6L engines between 05-early 08. Or, check the production date. Anything on or after 11/07 production date should have the updated plug/head.
