My 2014 has 28k. I was convinced when I purchased it that I would NEVER become one of those guys that save their car miles. People that put 2k (LOL) miles on their car a year, what is the point of buying it? I never really understood those people.

I bought a cool car, I drive it...

Buckshot Berry has a 2007 like mine but I think he only has 750 miles on his, I have 13000. I own 4 vehicles so the Mustang only gets driven on pretty days. It's not that I don't want to put miles on it, it's not having the time.

Well my mechanic loved the car. Said it was in pristine condition and was amazed at the mileage vs the age of the car.

So I went ahead and bought it. Price was $18k which seems like much but the car is exactly what I wanted and for all intents and purposes a "new" GT so I am not complaining about the cost.

Haven't had a chance to take any of my own pictures but here is a pic of it from the Dealership..

Very nice! Congrats. You'll enjoy it, I'm so thankful I bought mine and not the Vette I was so close to pulling the trigger on. Anxious to see the additional pictures when you get the opportunity.

Great buy I love mine it's a 06 and has 8600 miles. It's a 3rd car and I use for weekends or week night cruises. I store it from November to April as Chicago weather sucks those months. I've had it 4 years and love the looks of the 05 to 09 years.

Congrats on your purchase! I just ran to the garage to see if mine was still there, haha, almost identical. I reread post and you didn't mention 5 sp or auto. if 5 speed, id highly recommend upgrading the shifter to a MGW, itll make driving more enjoyable. the stock shifter is ok but sloppy. I would recommend also to take the plugs out now and put nickel anti-seize on the snouts only, to help removal in 50k miles. I wouldn't replace them as they should be like new. IMHO, no reason to go to full syn oil in the motor, stay with the oem 5w20 and motorcraft filters. I just changed my 5 sp to mobil1 full syn but oem fluid is fine to. yours shouldn't need it for at least 25k. if yours ever develops the front end clunk, its most likely going to be the front sway bar links or strut mounts. the stock shaker500 radio leaves a lot to be desired, especially with no smart phone connectability. I upgraded to a pioneer head unit with Bluetooth and love it. you will need the extra metra harness with the amp turn on wires and rca plugs to get the door subs to work. my first investment was a sct tuner and I would advise one for yourself as well, not sure where in TX you are but several on the local DFW CL. get an unmarried one. sorry this is a bit long winded but trying to give you some info that youll run into with your new stang. good luck and welcome. any questions, feel free to ask.

Mine's an automatic. Wife can't/won't drive stick and it was either compromise on this or no Mustang

I'll definitely check out the plugs and get them treated to try to avoid a seize up later.

Personally I'm a huge synthetic oil fan and had already planned to move the car over to synthetic at the next oil change. I have had an excellent experience with my 15 year old Escort Zx2 that was on synthetic ever since 3000 miles.

I had noticed that the Shaker 500 seemed to be a bit lacking. I have the option to pull a Shaker 1000 head unit out of an '07 which is being parts out for $50. Do you think that would even be any kind of "upgrade" at all?

They wanted 19K originally, but I got it for 18k.

You'll love it. I bought my '08 Roush 427R new, and it's been my daily driver ever since (now at 104,000 miles).

The big thing on these cars is the plugs. Two things: Get the Nickel Anti-Seize, and Brisk one-piece plugs (on American Muscle). That way, you won't have to worry about the old Motorcraft two-piece plugs breaking off in the head.
