My ford warranty Transmission "Repair" AKA , my car is still broken on day 89

Totally agree. I'd ditch that piece of junk MT-82 transmission and replace it with a T56 Magnum XL.

Thanks guys. Heres some of the story
6/12/15 I dropped my car off at my local Ford dealer and where I get my car serviced after the car will not shift into 2nd gear any more. I get a rental car.
6/22/15 I am told they have decided to attempt to repair the transmission syncros, but the parts needed to repair the transmission are on a 45 day backorder, I visit my car and find that its been parked outside in the rain with the hood popped, door cracked open and window slightly down for 10 days. I attempt to properly store the car for the almost unbelievable 45 day wait.
~7/30/15 : I was told that parts have arrived and they attempted to install but the parts were “Machined incorrectly” And they had to cut off the 6th gear along with many other problems and order more parts and that they stopped paying my 1st rental on day 60.
8/12/15 : Rental costing me money now
~8/25/15 : I get my car back FINALLY (day 74 after dropping it off initially and after they replace many internal transmission parts including gears and syncros) I discover it has extreme difficulty getting into and out of gears at speed and 2nd gear still makes grinding noise.
8/26/15 : I park car at my house after driving it back from the dealer while it can barely shift , the next day I drive it again and still has extreme difficulty and makes very bad grinding noises while trying to get into 2nd gear. I get back to my house and I see that there are drops of fluid on my parking spot while it was sitting overnight. I look under the car it is dripping from the transmission. Immediately I return to ford and get another rental.
~8/27/15 : I get notified the car had a leaking “transmission interlock spring” They order more parts to stop the leak and install.
9/4/15 Day 85 : I get the car back again, immediately I notice it’s very hard to get it into 1st gear and I almost don’t even leave the dealer. I end up getting it into 1st gear and decided to try to get it to work. Drove it for a while and it was still having issues getting into and out of gears, impossible to get into 2nd gear while moving, and made very bad grinding noises.
9/6/15 Day 87 : The car is worse now than when I dropped it off initially.
9/7/15 Day 88 : I dropped it off, rode with mechanic, he experienced the same issues and said they would have to see what they will do and I get another rental.
9/8/15 Day 89 : I am told by my advisor at Autonation Ford they have to disassemble it again, inspect, and get approval to try order a new transmission.
~9/10/15 Day 90 : Ford manager calls and says they will not pay for rental any more (again) and are expecting parts to arrive Tuesday to replace syncros again and to replace shift fork .
They are not still backordered and never should have been backordered in the first place. I called the parts department on day 74 and they could have got it less than a week, but i think there was initially a 45 day backorder when i dropped my car off.
I have considered this, but I am remodeling my house and also happen to just have lost my job so I decided against it. I lost my job like a month ago and my car has been there 3 months. I think ford should put t56 as their only manual. Putting a slightly cheaper weaker one in some cars to save a couple hundred is not worth it. THeir reputation would be a lot better if they did this, and they would probably get a better deal on the transmission price since they used to only buy them for GT500's and would now be buying a lot more.

funny, i work at a ford dealer and this june i rebuilt am mt82 for the same concerns and not only were the parts on a 1 month back order, but so was the trans assembly itself. so yes BACKORDER. not that i agrere with the whole repeat repair issue, sounds like your servicing dealer doesnt know how to repair a manual trans.

Many dealers outsource certain repairs if they don't have a tech on hand that is actually certified to work on the problem. I'd ask the dealer you're going to if their guy is a ford certified transmission tech or just a drive train tech. Huge difference.
