Shaker 500 PAC adapter install
So I've gotten a PAC AUX adapter and I'm just looking to finalize my plan for putting it in.
Other than the wiring harness ends it has 2 solo wires for +12 constant and gnd.
I'm thinking it would be ideal to just splice into the main stereo wiring harness for those, anyone know which wires that will be?
Also I can't remember the name but I recall a type of splicer that you just insert the wires and press on it and it makes the connection (any reason not to use such or any idea of the name of it and where to get some?)

I just put a PAC adapter in my 09 Mustang with Shaker 500 two weeks ago. Although mine is different due to can-bus, I'm thinking that the wires you described might be the battery and ground wires that go to your new receiver. The adapter should get everything it needs from the connector that it plugs into in your dash. I soldered and used heat shrink for all my connections. If you have a choice, soldering is the way to go in my opinion.

Thanks
I'm not replacing the receiver just adding the PAC which has the wiring harness with 3 ends plus 2 solo wires.
One harness goes to the CanBus on the stereo, one end connects to the canbus harness that was in the stereo and the 3rd harness goes to the pac.
Then there's the 12v constant and the gnd wires
I'm thinking of using a pair of splice connectors and splicing into the stereo's power and ground.
