Default Strut to spindle bolts

Hey guys,

I am going to replace my LCAs and have a question about the Strut to Spindle bolts.

I was talking with Norm and it was suggested that I replace these bolts as they are labeled "one time use". However, I have read on multiple other forums while trying to find them cheaper, that most people just reuse them. Some use locktite and some do not. So I want to know what you think, reuse and locktite or not. It will cost another 50 to get these so if I can avoid the cost, I would be alright with that. My mustang has 112k miles on it and I have never replaced them or done any work on the front except cosmetic and tie-rod replacements.

Thank you for your help.

I would assume as long as you use a good thread locker like Locktite or Vibratite you'll be fine.

What is the point of locktite? To prevent vibrations wiggling the nut loose?

Yup, to keep the nut from backing off the bolt-this would be a bad thing.

Get the new strut to spindle bolts with the fine pitch thread. They are more robust than the original ones. No sense in having an accident over a 20 dollar part

Just get a similar sized grade-8 bolt and a nylon lock nut. no need to spend $20-50 on a couple of bolts because they say ford on them.
