Yes.
I'm not against the use of very thin spacers to solve a minor rub - the right front of my car gets an 0.025" spacer when the 18x11's go on for that very reason.
Yes. You should be able to make that work at both ends of the car and still be rotate-able front to rear.

Get a 10" rim for the front. I'm running 285 on all 4 corners and it is great, breaking and turning is phenomenal. Mine do rub up front on the splash shields at full lock though.

I'm assuming you're asking me. I have st coilovers. I swapped the rears to h&r ss springs to sit lower in the rear. I stuck with the 285's and I'm glad I did.
