answer doesn't change, the new one still has a transaxle (final drive and differential integrated into the transmission) because the engine is on the same end of the car as the drive wheels. still wouldn't work in a Mustang.
also, the Focus and Fiesta have the stellar DPS6 dual-clutch transaxle.
