Default Dual Clutch Transmission

Does anyone know of a Dual clutch transmission that can be installed in a 20009 Mustang?

No, but you swap in a McLeod RST or RXT dual disc clutch.

Maybe by 20,009 they will have designed one. A DCT requires sophisticated computer control so...no, the aftermarket can't support the R&D for that for what would still be a low-volume item. look at how much just putting a Tremec into a late model car costs and that is eminently conventional.

The Ford GT has a dual clutch automatic transmission. Is that what you are thinking of?

So, you're asking if someone has taken the transaxle from a 2 year run supercar that's mid-engined, adapted it to work in a front engine/rwd car and designed software/hardware to run the thing? My previous answer stands.

I'm referring to the new GT. Not the previous model.

answer doesn't change, the new one still has a transaxle (final drive and differential integrated into the transmission) because the engine is on the same end of the car as the drive wheels. still wouldn't work in a Mustang.

also, the Focus and Fiesta have the stellar DPS6 dual-clutch transaxle.
