Default Rear Axle Vent TSB

I had a "slight" leak on my 12' GT so had the hose fix put on instead. Its been like 4k miles and my rear has been covered in gear oil and leaking on the ground slowly since... Am I wrong or did this just make it a lot worse since it just dumps it on the sway bar now?? About to stick the original on..

I installed the turkey baster axle vent and no more oil on my axle. Some posts said it would melt because of proximity to the exhaust but I've not had a problem with it.

Did you use a sealant on the threads when you put the adapter in? ( I assume you installed an adapter with a hose barb on it). Perhaps your hose clamp isn't tight. Also - did you use a fuel line for a hose? I used some heater hose for my PCV catch can system and I found it sweated oil enough to drip.

I installed a JLT catch tank. Axle has been dry as a bone since.

what is this "JLT" that you speak of? and where can you purchase this?

OK I found it, are you just taking the Intake kit and modifying it for the diff?

OK again, are you talking about the 120.00 breather for the diff? The turkey baster breather is looking a whole lot better!!

I'm intrigued with this "turkey baster" vent. Is this a Ford part? Available from the dealer? By any chance do you have a part number for it? Thanks.

Default turkey baster

After looking into it a little deeper I assume the turkey baster is only for the later models with the vent on the drivers side and hence wouldn't work on my '06 GT
