Just remove them and paint them. They'll look brand new unless they're cracked. I plasti dipped mine. They look great.

I can't say that I have used the product below, nor can I say what I used in its place. However I did use Meguiar's vinyl and rubber product #40 for years on a '78 BMW until I sold it in '07. The vinyl and rubber parts were all like new, door seals, trunk seals, everything. The car had aluminum bumpers with "shocks" so if it got a low speed hit it would be forgiving. So the bumper had a rubber "trim" along the contact area and "accordion" sides to give and take when/if the bumper had been hit. Even these parts were like new. Besides those positives, the product makes the vinyl/rubber surfaces look like new not glossy or something. So, I'm thinking I would give the following plastic product a try if I were you. FWIW. Let us know if you try it!

Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer Aerosol

10 Oz.

Product number: G16910 | SKU: 070382010812

Meguiar’s ® Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer quickly and easily brings new life to all exterior plastic, vinyl & trim such as bumpers, large moldings, door handles and rear view mirror housings. Simply spray it on and let it dry! Utilizing break-thru UV clear coat technology, Meguiar’s Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer Aerosol will shine and protect even after 100 washes. This durable formula dries quickly and will not streak when treated surfaces get wet.

While you have the covers off it's the perfect time to clean out the debris from bottom of the cowl and make sure the drains are open. Also, change the cabin air filter as well since it's right there on the passenger side.

Default Leak via weatherstripping on passenger side - wet floormats after rains
