Default Part help

Hey Guys,

I am trying to locate parts that I need and so far I have come up empty. Unless I am searching sites like RockAuto and AM wrong.

I need to replace the truck unlock mechanism. It makes a terrible noise when releasing and I have to close the lid several times before it will actually latch. I went to ford parts and got a part number and descriptions, but I can't seem to locate the parts on websites.

6R3Z6343200B - lock ASY - $100. Trunk lock/release

I also need the seal for the driver's door trim. It is coming out and looks terrible. Ford said I may need the retainer, which is $88 bucks. So I am going to forego that expense. But I am still having a hard time finding the seal as well.

7R3z6305A71A - seal - door front A - $33.65

Does anyone know where I can find these or can search the sites better than I?

Thanks.

I buy my Ford parts form AutoNation Ford in White Bear Lake, MN, they seem to have the best prices online. They have the trunk lock/latch for $66.10.

Double check the alignment of the latching system. My wife had a Focus that did that and turned out that putting stuff in the trunk she had managed to knock the alignment off.

I don't think it is the alignment. It will make the loud noise when the trunk is open. The typical sound a single release sound. But mines sounds like it is releasing about 4 times, almost like it is banging back and forth.

But the alignment might help with it closing.

Forgot to respond to this. after inspecting the latch, I noticed it was bent. So that is probably why it takes a few times to get the lid to shut. I still need to replace it, but at least there are two reasons now as I don't have the leverage to bend it back in place. Don't know how it is even possible to bend it the first place.

I forgot about this as well. My wife's Focus would make the noise when the trunk was open as well. We never figured out how she managed to knock it off alignment. And now that I am thinking about it we replaced it once because it was bent and a short time later it was making the noise again and that was when they determined the alignment was off.
