Default Scoop install

Any pointers on how to install my hood scoop?? Its just sitting on there now and I have read about people having difficulties with the supplied instructions. Any how your input is very much appreciated. Thanks,Ron

Yes I think that's the best thing to do,,,something about drilling holes in my hood that makes me a bit nervy.

Mount the scoop to a piece of poster board. Trace and cut out the shape.
Then you can use the poster board as a template to center and mark the holes.

Yes I have seen that mentioned and it sure looks like the right way to do things. Now that Im older think Ill just let a pro do it.

Took me a while to get up the courage to install my Roush scoop. It came with a template that you installed on the hood. Then with the type of drill bit they suggested (I forget what it was called, but it is a type that won't "walk") it really wasn't that bad. Mine looks "factory".

Im also thinking about mounting it to extend back a few inches towards the windshield. It provides some cover up where the wipers live,,,not sure yet maybe I will post up a few pics to see what you guys think. My 67 vet big block hood had that lip.
