Looks pretty good, does have a torn seat, says hail damage & cracked windshield (no inspections in this state)
says new top, no leaks. Waiting on carfax.

it smells of cigarette smoke so bad, that you'd swear a month's worth of twelve step meetings happened there?

(you laugh...I walked away from a convertible like that...opened the door and gagged.)

and dealerships are offering zero on a trade in. he needs a minivan, for the family (my guess)

Should the strips continue to the trunk lid?

The stripe is aftermarket, not factory, so he may have just bought the hood stripe kit, or he screwed up the trunk and bumper pieces so just didn't put them on. With that many miles not all that unusual for the tear in the seat. The covers are easily replaced either with aftermarket (like Katzskins) or factory.

Thanks. Finally got the Vin, carfax looks pretty good. Only thing concerns me is:
5/07 9k MI, body electrical system checked, fuse replaced
2/08 body electrical system checked
4/08 same thing, then electrical repaired, external bulb(s) replaced
1/14 high mount brake light bulb replaced

What could that electrical system check mean?

Hoping to go look at it soon

I don't think you have to worry about the electrical problem, considering it was 8 years ago.

That's kinda my thoughts too. But curious what it was. Did they just stop taking it to dealer because warranty ran out & still having issues? That was like 2 owners ago too.

Maybe moot point, I texted owner with some times to meet, 12 hours & no reply

Maybe it's not my new car; maybe my baby blue & tan is still out there!

I'm not sure I would spend that kind of money for a car with that many miles and hail damage.

Check behind the passenger side kickpanel, that's where the smart junction box is (looks like a fuse box). Early Mustangs had a problem with water getting there and damaging the electronics.
