On the news last night I saw another recall for the passenger airbags on the Mustang. I believe it was 2005-2011 Mustangs, so expect a letter for the passenger side now too.

Thanks for the info.
Been wondering about the passenger side.
Had the drivers side done about a year ago.
Got a new tri bar on the steering wheel which was nice
as the original was corroded/changing color.

I've been an auto accident injury attorney for over 20 years and the countless serious injuries, death and destruction I've seen would take forever to elaborate. therefore, as soon as I unfortunately discovered this recall I took it upon myself to post asap without searching. while I am certain the chances are quite low, people were killed from this defect.

if one life or serious injury is prevented then a duplicate thread is least of my concerns.

on this note, I think most on this forum, many with high powered vehicles, understand that by far and away the most dangerous undertaking the average person does is get out on the road. thus, anytime you do so, it pays to proceed with the utmost caution as the consequences of a crash can be life altering.

I bought a 2014 GT 5.0 in Feruary of this year and had to sign a statement that the Air Bag recall had not been done otherwise it could not be sold until it was fixed!!

So far my dealer says 4th quarter of this year they will be available.....and the damn thing could go off on it's own at anytime sending shrapnel through me.......MAYBE??!!

How can TAKATA survive this ordeal with MILLIONS being replaced???

I bet you a dime the manufacturers will come to Takata's aid. There's not enough competitors to meet demand if they went under.
