GT 07 Mustang won't crank.
Okay. So a few weeks ago my car starting acting funny. We pulled the codes and it said all 8 cylinders was misfiring. It ran like crap "but still ran". This past few weeks, all of a sudden the car will not crank. Lights, dash, gauges still come on...battery is fine. The anti-theft like blinks "like it normally does". However..the car will not crank, nor will it change gears.
At a bit of a standstill here. maybe a bad key? not sure if that would cause the entire car to randomly start running terrible.

If your car's an automatic, it could have a bad neutral safety switch (or clutch safety switch if it's manual). Try shifting the selector into N and see if the engine cranks & fires up. If it does, it's the NSS. If it doesn't, it could be a bad crank position sensor instead.

I was thinking the crank position sensor too.
A data log would show a lot. A car needs fuel and spark, confirm those then go to checking codes, compression test etc.
There is always the fuel shut off too.
Had it been worked on recently?

Yes, the engine would crank even if it wasn't getting fuel or spark. Now that I think about it, the engine would also crank with a bad crank position sensor.
A bad NSS, dead battery, and a problem with the anti-theft system could cause a no crank situation though.
Turning the ignition key to the "on" position should allow you to shift the gear selector to N where you could then attempt to start the engine.

Believe me..we tried it. It won't change gears..regardless of what i do. Turning the key all the way over, trying to change gears, won't work. I'm thinking its 2 possibilities. 1 - the chip in the key has burned out and no longer works with my car " thus needing a new key" the second option is that the anti-theft has completely locked down my car, resulting in a shop visit or having Ford themselves reset it...unfortunately.
