Default 2013 5.0 Wiper fluid

I have a 2013 5.0.

The wiper fluid no longer shoots out over the windshield.
For awhile it would just dribble out of the orifaces.

Now it doesn't even do that. I can hear the wiper pump working. There is definitely fluid in the reservoir.
There isn't any obvious wiper fluid draining somewhere under the hood that I can see.

Anyone have this trouble before?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

M

Nozzles probably clogged. You can try to unclog them with a needle or replace them. Windshield washer jet is what they are called. Kinda pricey for what they are but just look on flea bay and you'll find them for a reasonable price (way better than the dealer).

How do they come off for replacement?
Thanks,

Mike

Make sure it's not just your fluid frozen into a block of ice... happens in wintertime here.

This has been happening for awhile and I just am now getting around to it. So even when it was warm, it was clogged.

When replacing these, how do they come off? I can't tell by looking at the picture of the part.

Can't they be cleared with an appropriate acetylene torch tip cleaner or drill bit?

if you're using rain-x or any other "waxy" stuff, switch to the regular blue stuff. it will prevent such issues. if you like rain-x they make a wiper blade infused with the wax or you can buy the regular old wipe on rain-x

Pop the hood. You may need to remove the hood insulation. Remove the water line from the nozzle, on the nozzle where it goes through the hood on the underside, there will be two push tabs on either side of each nozzle. Pinch them together and push the nozzle all the way through the hood (to the outside). That's it.

Install is the opposite of removal. Takes like 5 minutes to get them both off.

I finally got more into this;

I realize now, the hose is not connected to the sprayer jet.
It appears that the sprayer jet clips on but I can't figure out how to unclip it. There is no way for me to get the hose back onto the jet sprayer with it in the position its in.
It appears the jet clips on with a plastic piece so I don't want to risk breaking it.

Any idea how to get the sprayer jet unclipped correctly?
