Default Passenger floor wet and heater not working right

Hello, we have a 2014 Mustang and resently found the passenger side floor front to back really wet! Also the heater isn't working right? Does anyone know how to fix this or what's causing it, I've dropped it off a glass shop and the owner told me google the problem and see if there was a fix. This way he wouldn't have to spend a lot of time trying to figure it out and that it would save us money! Wish ford dealer would of said that instead of telling me bring it in its $150 an hour shouldn't take more than 5-6 hours!! Thanks

Was the car in a wreck at some point?

Fairly new car to be having problems like those.

Actually my son did rear end someone about 4 months ago, but not hard at all he only broke the license plate cover. By the way thanks for helping me I've never done this before and I noticed that I posted in the wrong section already.

Shouldn't be from the wreck if he only broke a license plate cover. I dont understand how you got charged $150 an hour, the car should be under warranty.

Moved to tech.

Some of the older s197 cars had an issue with a grommet by the firewall getting clogged or just not being a great design which meant water would build up and pour into the passenger compartment. It also may affect a "smart junction box" (i think its called that). Was there a recent rain, or car wash?

Clogged drain plugs are a common problem, but since you are having heater issues....
Does the carpet smell like anti freeze/coolant?
Back in the day a leaky heater core would get the carpet wet.

It's the stupid drain plugs. Do a search and you will find the answers.
