Just got the pro 50 shifter (REVIEW)
Okay, most know my frustration with the ford racing version of the Hurst shifter. I just received the pro 50 shifter and I am really impressed with the heavy duty set-up and parts. I will be installing tomorrow then I'll post a review but from first inspection, I think I'm going to be happy with this product especially since it is being used by most of the fastest GT's in the country.

RE: Just got the pro 50 shifter (REVIEW)
I have had the shifter on for a week so it's time for the review.......
FLIPPIN AWESOME!! This is hands down the best shifter for the mustang. It slides into gear like butter and you couldn't slip from 2nd back to 1st if you tried. The pictures I started this thread with don't do it justice. This thing is WAY MORE put together than hurst, B&M, or Steeda's. The other ****ers are modified versions of the stock shifter and this thing is a completely different animal. I was worried about it being stiff from the sheer amount of billet that it is made with but to my suprise it floats amazingly. I would highly recommend this shifter over any other one. I have used Hurst and Steeda personally so I can make a fair comparison and they are not even in the same league as the pro 5.0 !
Definitely worth the $299.00
EDIT - someone from the site already bought my hurst - hope they'll be happy with it.

chevykiller: just gotta tell you; we are so lucky that you are still here on this forum. I am not happy with my stock 2nd - 3rd shifting in particular, and this looks like THE solution. When you get a chance can you comment a bit on the degree of difficulty of the install? Thanks again for all the valuable info you bring here!!!! ...Jim
