That report contradicts one I read from the Associated Press that Ford sales are doing excellent and that GM and Chrysler sales are still falling. So confused.
I am betting that Fords over all sales are better than the two bankrupt companies but the Camaro has outsold the Mustang.
Hasnt been anything for the Camaro fans for years and the Mustang wasnt a huge revelation so it makes sense.

Noticed they reported the other car makers sales declines...but then just mentioned that Camaro sales were up. What about GM as a whole since that is what they reported for the other manufacturers. Their crap is so slanted and we are using their numbers on this site.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME..
Here they are: Ford sold 148,153 Fords, Lincolns and Mercurys last month, while Chevy, Buick, GMC and Cadillac sold a combined 143,454. They may have sold more Camaros..but they left out this other tid-bit of info on overall sales by the companies
Wow, this thread's gotten way off topic. Sales figures? Who cares which company sells more cars. I thought we were discussing the 2010 Mustang details? I just hope if you don't like the new Mustang, you'll let Ford know about it at: https://secure.ford.com/footer/conta...ntact-us-email
Everyone's entitled to their opinion but, a lot of the dislike seems to be either be sour grapes or just personnel preference. I like the new design, a lot. Some of the styling cues puzzled me at first but, then I realized sometimes there's a function to it.
Like that black plastic around the bottom of the body parts. It makes the car look lower and at the same time replaces those areas with a material that's easier to care for and less susceptible to chipping damage.
I think the hood, front end and rear fender area are much improved. I'm not sure why so many '05-'09 owner think it's necessary to trash the '10 design? The 2010 isn't an attack on the previous design. Changes and differences are important. With the new Camaro and Challenger out, did you think Ford was going to stay with the 5 year old design forever? If not forever, how many more years? There's a ton of unsold '09s on dealer lots so go for it. If you already own a '05-'09 Mustang and just thought you need to trash the new car, there isn't anyone that can help you (not here at least). Ford isn't going to turn around and come out with an all new design for 2011.
The things I don't like about the cars, Ford can change, easily.
There isn't enough interior color choice, they're overdoing the black interior thing and I've heard a dealer say the Stone color is no longer an option. Black may appeal to some but, on a hot summer day when it's 105 or higher, it kind of ruins the drive when you get into a car that's been in the hot sun for hours. I assure you, it's much worse in a dark car with a black interior. I've have both black and light gray in vehicles on a hot day, big difference.
The car also needs a 'Cancel' button for the cruise control (very easily changed). Homelink transmitter should be standard. (Once you've had it, you don't ever want to clip a big ugly remote to the visor again)
Performance brakes should be standard (If not across the board, at least on the GT!)
This car needs a 6-speed transmission (Limiting it to the GT500 is ridiculous when the competition offers it and other cheaper 'sporty' cars have it.)
I think we can all agree that we like Mustangs, we don't have to drive the same Mustang and that we can disagree without being disagreeable.
Odd that the largest dealer nearest me is only stocking one 2010 Mustang GT and it’s an auto. They’ve had it for a number of weeks and it hasn’t sold. I’ve bought two Mustangs from them in the last few years (07 and 09) and they always had a huge stock of Mustangs. In the past they had the Mustangs lined up in the front of the lot. The lack of Mustang stock make you wonder how confident they are about moving Mustangs. It’s hard to out sell the Camaro if you don’t have any Mustangs in stock. Very strange days indeed!

Patiently waiting for Ford to design my next Mustang! Let’s get with it Ford!
Those figures must change depending on which State you are.
Dealers on Orlando have bunches of 010s, definitely not a rare thing.
And yes, they sell.
Have seen more Mustangs than Camaros so far...
The 2010s really need to be seen in person to be appreciated. They are good looking cars in person. I still prefer the '05-'09s over them, but they are still good looking cars. Plus, they have Grabber Blue
