i gotta agree with the thread starter... i really don't care for the 2010 model. I like the interior and the hips on the rear fenders, but that's really it. i think they took a step back as far as looks.

The only thing I like about the new model is Ford Sync. Otherwise, if you want retro go with the previous model. Interesting thing though I wonder if someone's going to make aftermarket bumpers for the new one that will look like the old bumpers. Still will have ugly tail lights though. Ford should have come out with the original shelby GT tail lights this time around. It's silly that they didn't even put shelby GT styling on the current GT500.

I'm a fan of the new 2010 design. Am I alone in thinking they're trying to make it look like the new Camaro though?

I love the new look. Inside and out. Especially the front. The door line is also a little different and I like as well. I don't think everybody will be happy with any car design so opinions vary. Anyway I will trade in my 2007 GT for 2010 as soon it's available at dealerships.

I'm just guessing here, but I think the 2010 model is geared for people who want new styling rather than the retro look the 2005-2009 had. Retro is what I'm after. I like the last Thunderbird and I like the current mustang. The interior of the 2010 is nice, but the previous dash has a lot more nostalgia value for me. My dad's always owned several F-100s and some other old Fords such as Falcons. I grew up around the cars with the old dash. This car fits me well. I'm looking foreward to seeing what the next body style looks like after the S197. That'll be like another 5 years right.

Also I found out that I can get Sync installed in my 09. Pretty cool, that was pretty much the only thing I felt missing when I got the 09.

I just took one for a test drive and think Ford did a nice job with the update. I like the looks and it felt very tight and fast. But I drive a 09 F150 Lariat; everything seems fast.

Saw the new 2010 Mustang yesterday when driving by the dealership. I was not impressed very much by the gold v6 convertible but the GT in that new blue looked amazing.
