It may grow on me over time, but it lost the "wow factor" I remember when I first saw the '05.
My thoughts exactly. I figured it would grow on me. I've seen pics and even saw some at dealership. Then I saw one on the street and I muust say, I vomited a little in my mouth. I was looking at it from a rear diagonal angle. The body lines were simpy not attractive at all. Teh taillights and hip lines were horribly designed, imo.

I will keep my 2007 forever. I really believe that 2005-2009 will become classic body styles for collecters eventually. I cannot say the same for 2010+ models.

On a side note - There was a black 2010 GT at the dealership that had alot of body enhancement mods (dealer added aftermarket parts) and it did help alot.

Well, 2010 Mustangs are still not making many appearances around here. Same with the new Camaro. So, I am not getting any good looks at moving Mustangs or Camaros and have had to rely on photos and magazine articles. There was a black GT on the local Ford lot and a yellow Camaro (inside of course) at the Chevy dealership.

I'll admit that I was very much leaning to a future yellow (love the yellow shade they picked) Camaro, until I saw the Speed Channel test of the 2010 Mustang. I was very impressed with the look of the Mustang in that episode. The Grabber Blue looked fabulous. At this point, I think I'd opt for a GB Mustang over a yellow Camaro. Red would usually be my first choice, but I don't want two red cars in my driveway and my winter car (red Eclipse GT) isn't going anywhere soon.

Not that I'd jump to getting rid of a nice 07-09 GT, but I think the new Mustang will begin to look better and better as you see more of them on the road. Photos do not do this car justice. Then again, they rarely do.

I certainly can understand you wanting to hold onto your Mustang. I wouldn't be in a rush to part with a car that looks that good either. As long as you still like the way it looks and it gives you a thrill every time you drive it or look at it, then it is definitely worth keeping. I've had my Z-28 for 13 years and it still turns heads and thrills me every time I drive it or just walk out into the driveway to look at it.

Though I like the looks of the new Mustang, I still notice any 05-09 Mustang that drives by. Classic, good looks will endure.

As to collectibility.....who knows what the future will bring and how it will affect our older cars? Besides, most of us aren't going to hold onto our cars for 25+ years anyway. Temptation to buy a new car, finances (old car=down payment), and space in the driveway/garage will conspire to separate most of us from our current cars in the future.

Yeah, the new Mustang is tempting, but you have a very nice Mustang already.

For me the decision was easy especially after driving a torch red auto 2010 gt a grabber blue 5-speed 2010 V-6&2010 GT models then driving my 2010 V-6 I mean come on I may be biased but how can you not like a car that looks this good with just a drop&wheels>? But to each his own

Yours is very nice, admittedly, but my opinion is that Ford took away much of the Mustang's heritage again when they created this body style.

To me, it looks like they got scared and thought that Checy and Dodge were going to take market share away. They seemed so scared that I believe they morphed the Mustang into those vehicles.

The front end to me resembles a Camaro and the hips resemble a Charger.

That is a nice car - but for me, its the tail end that kills it for me. I'm glad I picked up my 2009 a month ago

I really like that car, those slight upgrades really make it pop especially with the color. I like everything about it...except the motor, and possibly the transmission.

That's a V6? Nice looking car, much better than the plain looking black GT I saw today. Was that the pony package or something? Now if they only offered a supercharger for the V6, I might look at one...

I dont understand why people say the 2010 lost its classic look. When the front end looks just like a 69 fastback.

I still absolutely hate the rear end. Seen several in person now and it just looks awful. Why did they have to curve it so much? Looks like a freaking import.

Other thing that confuses me is why does the V6 front end look SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than the GT? WTF was ford thinking? Damn them, damn them to heck.
