Default Disappointed with new 2010 Mustang Design

I don't know if I'm the only one, or if I'm crazy, but the new Mustang to me looks like an uglier version of the Mazda RX-8 with a pony badge on the front. I think a Mustang should look like a sports car or a muscle car, not an import. Just putting my opinion out there...

I agree, it's hideous. I'm perfectly content with the current body style.

Have you guys only seen pictures or the actual car? I saw the GT500 and a GT convertible at the Cleveland auto show Tuesday and they are amazing.. The GT500 is a peice of art, perfect in every way!! The pictures in no way do them justice. The 2010 Camaro however was very disappointing.. looks like a fat pig, has a gay sliding sunroof that slides back on the outside, and pretty much the entire motor is covered with a huge plastic cover...

I saw a GT and a GT500 at the Fort Worth auto show and almost pucked. The rearend looks hideous, and what the hell is the palstic crap around the bottom. The front end and the interior are ok but i still prefer the look of the older S197s.
Oh and just to make things better now a V6 Taurus can kick its ass.

And the new SHO couldn't kick the 05-09's ass?

Look, I understand everyone is entitled to their opinions.....but 90% of the ppl slamming the 2010 design are current S197 owners. What makes any of you guys think that Ford was targeting you when it redesign the exterior in the first place? The 2010 is a great design to draw in all those who were disappointed in the initial S197 design.....and from the feedback I'm hearing on alot of boards they may just have succeeded in that.

Also.......and I'm sure I'll be labeled for saying this..........WHY do we have to have a new thread started everytime someone wants to rant about how much they hate the 2010? Can't you just do that in one of the existing 146 2010-hate threads???

I'm with Steele on this one......let Ford put the Coyote in the 2011 and I will be rocking one. The rearend was initially a bit of a disapointment, but most of my unrest was caused by there being no change in the drivetrain. Besides, once a couple of minor aesthetic mods are done to these cars, they will be dead sexy.
