Question 2010 electronics package option

We are all interested in hearing from anyone who has the elctronics package option ($2195)
It looks rather impressive, is it worth it and will it play DVD's. Waiting the hear actual users comments before I buy. thanks

I cant find a dealer around here that even has one. They either have the stock stereo. or the shaker 1000, I have seen every option (including HIDS) but no nav packedge. I really like it and want to get it but I dont want to order as I dont want to wait 6 weeks just for a GPS. I would rather have the shaker 1000 then.

Same boat I was in..but my local Ford dealer actually got one in that had the package so I could play with it. it did in fact play DVDs as long as the car was in Park (auto) or had the EB on in manual. It's VERY kewl.

I ordered as well and I am waiting the 7 weeks to get the car because I ordered the 3.73 real axle package and the NAV

I would advise against the Shaker 1000 and recommend the factory Nav.
All the 1000 does is take up valuable trunk space, in my book.
The NAV isn't perfect, I was told you have to rip your CDs to it individually, but it will add to the value of your car and is just a fun "toy" for a car that could use a few new toys!

Check other posts here for replies from the Ford Engineer dude. Can't recall his user name right now. He gave lots of info on the new unit.

I would freakin love to get a nav system. But I cant find any in the area that are what I want. They are either auto, or vert. Or a color i dont want. There are so many more with the 1000 that I would rather have that than just the 500. Plus im not worried about trunk space. If I need more trunk space. I take a different car. No big deal. The mustang with just be a daily driver to work and back. A laptop case is the most I will ever carry.
