Thanks for the info. My car doesn't have the satellite antenna on the car. The radio does however have Sirius button and when I press it gives a message like "NO SAT RADIO " The vehicle sticker lists the car as the radio as satellite capable. When
I asked the salesman about this, he said it was upgradeable to Sirius by
adding the Sat. antenna and a wiring harness. After purchasing the car,
I inquired further about getting this done but no one at the dealership is
clear on what needs to be done and what parts it will take let alone the cost.
Thanks,

I'm in the same boat with you guys - just got my 2010 V6 Convertible and noticed the "Sirius" button, but the message displayed suggests I don't have satellite radio. I'd love to get it working on my standard model though. Has anyone done this? Or know how to do it?
Whoa-- I thought I replied to this thread a while back, but apparently did not. My bad.
Anyway, talked with the Satellite Digital Audio Receiver System (SDARS*) Engineer, and he said that you would need to add a wiring harness that ran to a satellite antenna (most likely on the trunk if you have a convertible, possibly on the roof if you have a coupe and didn't want to run wires in the rocker panel conduits), as well as the addition of a 'daughter card' (snap-in circuit board) to your radio head/ACM, which gives you the satellite decoders. Whether or not that daughter card is sold separate, or you need to get a whole new ACM/head unit, I'm not sure.
I can try to locate part numbers if there's interest.
*I will barrage you with Ford acronyms from time to time. If I forget to define it, cyber-smack me and remind me that not everyone speaks alphabet soup. I blame it on my job.
