Your warranty should cover it.
it's kept in a locked garage, so doubtful. I searched the forums and could not find anyone with a similar problem with a new model.

my float was caught on one of the tubes of the fuel pump which caused the needle to never go below a quarter tank. maybe your problem is similar

I'm scheduling a warranty appt. to deal with this, assuming it's the float, and they'll have to drop the tank. Not a big deal, but annoying nonetheless.

Otherwise, I'm really impressed with the new look (much more aggressive nose, hood, fenders) as well as the mechanical...the bullitt package coming standard was a nice incentive, and the beefy fstb is something to behold when you open the hood!
Hope your chick doesn't follow this thread. If my chick heard me call her my chick she'd be one angry chick. I keed.

I have almost 2k on my GT and so far not any warranty issues to speak of. One thing that does bug me is the stupid position of the center console latch. You can't rest your arm on the console whitout opening the rear console hatch. I have to keep it locked to stop this. Mine is a 5 speed so you auto guys may not have this problem since it does it more on shifting. No biggie , just annoying.

If I understand you correctly you're talking about the center compartment behind the cup holders, correct? If so, I have the opposite problem: when I press on the latch, it doesn't "flip" up and open unless I press and manually lift it back.

I went to the dealer and he said since it was such a new car that it needed time to "loosen up". He said to give it a few months. It's been a almost couple months since, and that latch still doesn't have the lid flip open properly.

I think I might have already mentioned this issue in this (long) thread, and others have had the same problem I believe.

In the end though, as you said -- not a real big deal, but annoying.

Great car, and that's about my only (minor) complaint thus far.

Now that it is cooling off and I don't need the windows up and A/C on I have been hearing some squealing from the front brakes when coming to a stop. It is getting pretty bad.

I need to do an oil change this weekend and I'll check the back side of the rotors for any grooves as it sounds like it would if there was something stuck in between the pad and the rotor.

If I don't find anything I'll unfortunately be at the dealership getting it figured out.

Nope...I mean the rearmost compartment...the one with the I-pod jack in it.

I've gotten over 27 on the highway before, but I don't think it's possible for my car to get 24 in town.

Hmm...

I think we're getting our signals (words) crossed; that's the compartment I mean too.

Anyway, what I said holds true for that compartment: opposite problem of yours.
