I didnt feel like having someone install the exhaust for me, so i ordered it and put it on my self. Wow is it nice sounding. My wife loves the downshift burble.
So here is the parts laying out on the garage floor. I suggest keeping the bubble wrap on the tips till you are finished. Don't forget to take them off though!
The car is on four jack stands. I decided to place them on the control arms in the rear. It does compress the suspension some and you will have to finagle the pipes out a little more, but the next set of jacking points i could see working were too far forward for my liking. You decide where you want them, its your body.
You can see in this picture that the stock set up has some pretty constricting bends and is flattened out to make room for suspension. That's poop.
Use a 3/8th ratchet and a six inch extension with a 15mm deep socket. That set up will give you plenty of room to clear the rear suspension components. This is the RH side clamp (view is facing rear, under car). This clamp will stay with the stock muffler.
Same situation from the LH side clamp (view is facing rear, under car). Just run the nut to the end of the bolt or till its sufficiently loose.
Here is the clamps at the H-pipe area. These have two nuts per clamp. Loosen using the tool set up as the mufflers.
There is a metal tang that keeps the clamps on the mid pipe. If you have some trouble like I did you will need to deal with this. My left side wouldn't pull out of the mid pipe as easy as the right. I release the tang, slid it onto the rear section and was able to remove it easily. Just reinsert afterward, or reverse the procedure during install. (Place the clamp on the new Roush pipe then push both onto the mid pipe.)
After this I was rushing to beat the setting sun. I just got back from overseas and I didn't remember to try to find my drop light...Pictures are thus lacking. Just pull the pipes from the mid pipe, and then slide the mufflers out of the hangers toward the front. Next, wiggle the muffler off the pipe and then pile them off to the side. Here is that the stock looks like next to the Roush set up.
Just reverse the process to install the new pipes. The kit has pretty easy to understand instructions, and this is a pretty easy task to be honest. I took a few breaks due to Arizona heat, and it still only took a couple hours. I will also post videos for before and after. Im in the process of doing that now.

Great tutorial, I love the Roush sound! This is definitely one of the first mods I'm going to throw onto my 2010 GT when it arrives in September. Is this the '05-'09 Roush Catback setup? I've only seen their axle back exhaust for the 2010's on their website. Great sounding stang!
Excellent, excellent photos and description! You did a great job. I only wish the before and after videos were a liitle bit longer and that you rev'ed up the engine a little bit more 8-)
BTW, how is the sound inside at highway speeds, i.e, 70 mph? Did you have to retune the computer afterwards?
