From what I read its straight forward. Ford Part# M-2300-S Looking at about $1400 new, I have seen take-offs on ebay for almost half that.
Same performance brake kit that comes stock on the 2007 Shelby GT500 Mustang, is now available for the 2005-2010 Mustang GT Models. Kit includes GT500 14” rotors and 4-piston calipers with SVT Cobra rear pads for use in the stock Mustang rear calipers. Also includes Goodridge DOT 4-piece hose kit and attaching hardware. Requires 18” wheels M-1007-S1895 or an equivalent for caliper clearance

The problem with the GT500 brembos is that they are difficult to find wheels to fit over... Except the 05-09 GT500 wheels (gag). Also, the rebuild parts for the calipers are expensive and hard to come by. I bought a set of new Saleen branded Stoptechs off ebay for $850 shipped. The cheapest I have ever found the FRPP kit for was $1100.
The install was very easy and the performance of the brake kit is excellent. I'm doing my first HPDE with them soon and can report on their track performance later. The Stoptech calipers have a lower profile than the GT500 Brembos and are easier to find wheels to fit. There are also more brake pad choices and rebuild parts available. They might even fit the stock 19s, you can print out a template on the stoptech web site. Only downside is the new brake rotors are extremely heavy.
Honestly, on the street the stock GT parts are really very good for 2-3 good high speed stops without fade. Good pads is all you need. The only reason to move up to a BBK is if you plan on doing repetitive high speed braking on a track.

You know your stuff, the weight is a concern and I'd like to offset a little with lighter wheels and tires, so having more wheel choice is imptnt ... StopTech is good stuff and gives me wheel options to boot
