To me the 10 brought the fastback style back... No disrespect to owners from 72-09 but I never liked the style of any of those vehicles.
When I went to purchase a new car this past summer it was between the Camaro, Challenger and Mustang. I didnt give one look to the Mustang because I figured it was the same old boring crap they have been spewing out(this only refers to GT's and V6's), for years. To me it seems like it was becuase Ford had no competition in the musle car category that they could get away with a half assed production, because if you wanted modern day muscle you were forced to go with Ford.
My brother tried convincing me all summer, go Ford, go with the Mustang, I kept disrespecting it, until I finally saw in person what the 2010 model looked like and at that split second I made my decision. TheY brought sexy back, and even though im with the V6, its so much sexier than the GT. Even if I could have afforded the 2010 GT I dont think I would have gotten it, because it looks like a Mustang with down syndrome(due to the fog lights in the center of the grill).
Im not trying to put anyones vehicle down, but the 2010 blows the rest out of the water.
So true RedRave.....the interior of the 2010 is very nice....the exterior...not so good. This probably plays a large part in the Camaro outselling the 2010 Mustang.
On the other hand..the Camaro interior...not so good, trunk space...not so good. Exterior..nothing special..But that's my opinion and i started my driving life as a Camaro guy

+1
I test drove the Camaro before I ordered the 2010 Mustang. The Camaro is fast, not doubt, but I did not like the closed in feeling. The windows are so small I felt like if I ordered the super size drink at the drive through, I would have to open the door to get it into the car. And the guages down on the console, okay I understand retro, but that was a terrible idea back in the 60's/70's. Damn how stupid to put the gauges down there.
Anyway, I think the Camaro is too much transformers and not really that great looking. But hey, I have a buddy at work who is ordering up a 2010 Camaro just like I am ordering up a 2010 Mustang. So to each his own.
And for what its worth, I didnt buy an '05-'09 because I didnt like it enough. I bought the 2010 because in my opinion, Ford nailed it. So I guess you could say, I bought a new Mustang because Ford DID change it.
Wilkinda, first let me say I always liked your WV mustang and hated to see you get rid of her as I am a WV owner and know the s*** we hear because of our color choice. With that being said in my opinion WV needs some help to make it pop so for me it was chrome wheels, and other exterior mods. I am pretty happy with how it looks and I do get some nice compliments on it. I want to ask you if you plan on any mods to yours? like side stripe or center stripes? I say this because it seems the grabber blue cars need something, I just dont know what and for God sakes Im not attacking a fellow Airmen so dont bite my head off :~)
Edit: The reason I was even in the 2010 sections was i was bored and was surfing around and when I started reading this thread I couldnt stop. I just cant beleive some of the bashing that goes on between 05-09 vs 10's I do not want to be in the same catagory, we all should be here for the love of the mustang, and yes we all have our likes and dislikes, but gheesh some of it get out of hand.
As much as I love the mustang I modded the s*** out of mine, why? because it makes it look better.....to me

yes..mods are in the wroks for the exterior. I am waiting to put on my Roush nose, front splitter, side splitters because I think I may go retro on the whole car theme. Pascal and I are throwing some ideas around and once he gets back from Europe we are gonna sit down and nail down exactly what will be done. He and I have been on the same page with what we want to do since he first saw it in person.....
There is some young kid driving my old WV stang now and so far I have seen it twice and he seems to be taking great car of her. Wish we were not going in different directions on the highway so I could track him down and talk to him, maybe get him to join this thread as well.
