Default Aftermarket Headers - Worth it or not?

Just checking to see if anyone out there has added aftermarket headers and if they noticed a difference at all in ANY areas.

Pros?

Cons?

Thanks!

If you go with longtube headers and retune the car (which will be a must) then you can expect to see anywhere from 15 to as much as 30hp in pickup. Shorty headers, on the other hand, won't net you much other than different sound. LT's are definitely worth it if you're going for a good NA build or for a high end turbo/sc'd build. So yea......they are worth it. One of the better bolt-on mods you can do IMO. They are just a pain in the ass to install.

Thanks for the info..... I haven't seen any long tube headers for the 2010 V6 though, only the shorty headers.... Know where I can find some?

Kooks makes some long tubes for the V6. http://www.kookscustomheaders.com/ca...%204.0&pnid=39

It says 2005 to 2009 but the 2010 has the same engine/frame/etc so they'll still work.

If you go with shorties, the JBA are top notch.

Oops, sorry......I didn't realize you were talking about headers for a sixxer. I can't say I know much about that (as far as the kinds of gains you can expect and such). You should still see some power gains and a shift in the powerband though.
