I received word from Exchange New Car Sales that Ford has assigned a VIN for my 2010 GT! The car is scheduled to be built on Oct 19, however, it still has to be built and shipped to a US port, and then shipped to Bremerhaven Germany, and then trucked to Stuttgart, so I am still looking at sometime in December before I will see it. Still, its exciting
Anyone know how long the build process normally takes?

Nice. I was told that mine is scheduled for the first week of November,
so I expecting the same news as yours in 2 weeks or so. Good thing is
that I live in Canada, so I was told I can get it November 30.
Assembling the car takes in the order of 30 hours as far as I heard.
ordered mine on aug 3rd (7 weeks ago) and not even a build date yet. I'm thinking about backing out and just waiting for an '11. Bad news is I have a lease thats up next week so I have to buy something in the meantime.

I am sorry to hear, my lease goes until the first week of December, this is why I ordered about the same date as you (August 15) so the new one is here just as the lease is done. The sad thing was that they had exactly the one I wanted as I ordered (with the 3.75 and the right color for me), but GMAC did not let me out of the lease without paying over 1.7K.
Are you sure yours is not scheduled yet, or is your dealer just not looking it up?
build takes a day or two. I ordered my 2010 GT July 22nd and got to drive my my baby home Sept 18th - so just about 7 weeks. It feels like an eternity but its well worth the wait. I can't believe that some people are still waiting after 3 months or so..

yeah I'm sure they don't have a date yet. My bro is my salesman and he understands my situation. I want the glass roof and there are very few of them out there equipped like I want so a dealer trade is unlikely too. I think I'm usually a very easy going/understanding person but this is a bunch of **** IMO. If they are going to tell people 6-8 weeks they should be able to be somewhat close to that. If they said 16 weeks it would have been fine I wouldve just ordered sooner.
