That is a great question, I was wanting to take the 4.6 emblems off and no one could ever figure out if there were two holes in the fender or not. I don't like the big thing on the trunk lid. It will be interesting to here what others have to say. You might call Roush since they make one as well, see if they say that it just sticks on or if there are alignment holes.
Man I hope you are right, guys went back and forth on the side emblems with no right answer, I was just at a car show and seen a mustang that didn't have it and he had pictures with a lot of bodywork where it had been, almost like he had to fill some holes in. The owner wasn't around or I would have asked him.
I was just behind a non 2010 (05-09) and it had a key hole on it to unlock the trunk...mine doesn't have that...maybe that was the reason for the body work(?)

How do you think the assembly line workers align
the emblems and FAUX gas cap?
By eye? Dont tink toe.
My fenders dont have holes as it is a non-PP V6.
