Default Does the backlight behind the tach turn red when you hit redline?

I may have imagined this, but tonite I could have sworn the light on the tach turned red when right before I shifted.

Anybody else notice this, or do I need to get my eyes checked?

;-)

You're probably right. Tonight when I was playing with "my color" with the engine off but the key in accessory position, the battery display turned red, indicating that I was running the battery down.

Yup, mine does, was not expecting it the first time it happened lol. I've only redlined it at night though... does anybody know if it does this during the day (with your lights off)?

I have not seen it during the day. It would be neat if you could set the RPM it comes on at, so you don't have to hit the limiter to see it.

Im wondering what RPM the light is set at though. I didnt hit the limiter. I shifted at about 6500, spun the tires in 2nd, and broke them loose again when I hit 3rd. It felt really strong. I wonder if the backlight turns red at redline, but before the limiter. Anybody know what RPM the limiter is at?
