Default Factory CD Player: Can it display Folder names?

I have (I assume) the most basic entertainment package in my ride. No 6-CD changer, no compass, nada.

So I stick a CD with a bunch of MP3s recorded on it into the player, and the MP3s are recorded into various folders bearing the each Artist's name.

All it displays is FOLDER 1, FOLDER 2, etc.

Yet on the G/F's 2008 Honda CR-V (with the basic CD entertainment package), this same CD will display the name of the Folder (the Artist's name).

Read the owner's manual, doesn't mention that it can.

So is this inability to display the name of the folder a limitation of my (our) factory CD players (us with the base entertainment package)?
