If I were you, I would not opt for the GT500 or the Roush unless you are prepared to pay Luxury tax as well as a hefty insurance premium. They are fine cars but for a daily driver, I would recommend a GT. Cars like the GT500 are mainly garage queens that only sees sunshine and car shows.
I looked up your dealership and see they are located in Annandale and Alexandria. Because you are located so close to D.C. that dealer thinks he can mark up the prices. If you take a road trip down here to the Virginia Beach area, you will find a much better deal at our local Ford dealers.
I don't want to pay luxury tax. I didn't know VA does luxury tax.

I've been to VA beach before. Think I have to go through Richmond and Norfolk to get there as I recall.

What do I say to get a good deal to the dealers down there? I don't want to come off as a 26-yr-old girl going for her first American sports car but as a sophisticated woman that knows what she's talking about.

I just want a Premium for a good price.

P.S. I'm also not trading in this camry. It's a good car to just give up and my brother will be driving it to attend school.

For those telling you to just get an after-market stereo for the new 2010....at this time a kit is not available to do that. just wanted you to know before you ordered / purchased thinking you could run down to some audio place and change it out right away. I have the Shaker500 w/NAV and it is pretty darn sweet

Get the Shaker 500, listen to it, and then decide if you want to add onto it.

If you do want to upgrade the stereo, focus on speakers and amplifiers. With the Sync and Sirius satellite features standard with the Shaker 500, you'll have to find a compatible head unit, or repurchase those features. Not to mention, the faceplate would have to change to an default din or double din style, which will probably require relocation of other components in the dash.

I'd stick with the factory head unit and other dash components, but add an amplified sub in the trunk, and upgrade the factory speakers, or add speakers to the system.

(I have the shaker 500 and it suits me fine in its factory condition so far.)

grrr! Hey all,

The Premiums seem to have mark up the prices. I can't get a good price for one. So I will look for another car.

Thanks for the help,

klp

Shaker 500 sounds system is ok, but for the price it costs to upgrade to a shaker 1000, I put 2 JL 12w3's in my trunk for the same price, and mine will put the Shaker 1000 to shame.. here's a pic

what you need to do is wait till there are good rebates. 2011 will be when ford puts new engines in the cars meaning the 2010's will be cheaper. if you don't mind waiting and seeing what's left, you can get a car for a good deal. i had bought my 05 in december, all the options and color i wanted and for about 4K below msrp.
