Not intending to highjack the thread here... (And maybe this can benefit the OP)

But AJ -- that's some kind of contest you won.

Where can I get in on something like that for my next ride!?

I wouldn't worry too much yet. We don't know the official engine and power ratings yet. I would assume engine reliability would be lower, as it is a brand new engine. However, if you get a SC, same goes. You'll lose some in the transaction, but you will have great N/A power.

I would save the buyers remorse for later, so far they are just rumors. I'm pretty sure we will not see a 400hp GT but if anything it will be a 400hp BOSS with a hefty price tag. We shall see very soon though.

I dunno man... with the Challenger and Camaro both at 400+ hp, it makes good sense for Ford to up their power too. If for no other reason than marketing.

Either way, I'm loving my 2010 and have zero remorse. I ordered mine fully aware of the Coyote, and from the beginning I assumed the rumors were more than just rumors. Worst case, I can always trade in my 2010 later, and I'm having one hell of a time with it now! The ladies love Kona Blue too.

I will trade up in a few years when all the dealer markups and hype settle down on the new 5.0. I'm not overpaying! Until then, i'm loving my underpowered GT.

I also bought mine fully aware of the possible Coyote engine coming out in 2011. I was also aware that the Camaro SS had 111 more HP and 0.6 sec faster 1/4 mile times. Somoene made a great point above that the Coyote will be a first year production engine, this was the nail in the coffin for me to not wait also. A year I could have done, but I didn't want to wait 2-3 years to buy my stang.

Bottom line; there will always be a faster car, better computer, hotter girl, better weiner enlargement pills, etc. Be happy with what you have.

I listened to the rumors of the 2011 and so on, but I bought my 2010 because
anything can happen at any time and I want to enjoy it now. You never know
what tomorrow will bring and waiting on a rumored car wasn't going to cut
it. With the economic times, there is no guarantee that Ford will bring out
the 5.0. If they do, and things are still going good, then I will consider trading,
but for now I am satisfied.

Live for now, wait for tomorrow.

who gives a ****. you've got the first year of the redesign that blows every mustang away except for the originals.

on top of that, you just sit and wait for someone to wreck their 2011 mustang and buy the drive train

too soon

You see, when I bought my car, I didn't realize that there was going to be a 400 HP monster out there within the next year. I wish I would have waited now.

I had promised myself that I didn't want to ever do another mod again, because of how it trashes out your car, but now I am finding myself thinking about adding a super charger to it, or possibly trading it in when the 2011's come out.

I am leaning toward just paying Ford to install a super charger, so at least I will then feel like the car hasn't be ripped all to pieces and the job be done professionally right.

If I try to trade the car in, I know that will cost me more than the cost of the modifications.....prossibly a lot more.

Any of you kind of wish you had waited a little? 20 Horsepower wouldn't bother me, but a ~100 HP difference is a lot, guys.
I ordered mine back in April and it took 14 weeks to get here. During the 14 weeks all I heard was rumors of the coming 400HP engine and that i should wait. I didn't want to wait!! just remember what most will say now...don't buy the 1st year of a new powertrain...so now your waiting till 2012 to buy... just keep what ya got for now..wait for the new car to hit the streets and after the kinks are out of te power train THEN trade it. At least you will about 2 yrs to enjoy your new ride!!
