Default Tillman 'All-Out' Tune (93)

Got this today, loaded it on my X3 and into the car...wow. Superb tune, the midrange is simply amazing, even stronger than the Bama 93 race tune. Not a hint of detonation. I swear Ford would sell twice as many GT's if they tuned them like this from the factory.

Vroom, vroom.

Let's see... maybe because the OEMs have to meet all kinds of EPA standards including gas mileage, emissions, etc. And most of these "good" aftermarket tunes push the cars well out of those standards

Plus they have to make the car drive-able for everyone. An aftermarket tune is a lot more aggressive and may put some people off. Enthusiasts, such as just about everyone who goes to these boards, want it aggressive but there's a lot more buyers than who goes to the forums.

In Texas we have 93.

I've always wondered why some get 91 for premium and others get 93.

Holy crap wtf!?

You'd be better off (assuming you can get it reliably) E85. Higher octane rating and should be a lot cheaper (it was the last time I saw it anyway) than regular. But, you'd have to do some work to make sure the car would run on it.

As long as the mix is acceptable with no lead you can tune the car for it. I think at 105 (plane/race fuel) there is lead in the gas so you can't run it unless you run without cats or else you clog them. Even then you can muck things up in the motor.
