Default GT SIDE EMBLEM

If i remove side gt elblem on a 2010 is it held on with tape ...or are there holes in the fender that hold the emblem on... thanks

It's held on with tape but leaves two holes on your fender. I had to get the fender sealed and then repainted. Also it's the same with the rear decklid faux gas cap. It's three holes and a mound.

My guess: so factory line workers have some spatial reference as to where to tape it -- just slap the emblem into the (pre-drilled) holes and the tape does the holding (or most of it.)

holes are for alignment: basically, so that the robots put them in the right place

It doesn't really matter if you make any damage to the paint as you are going to have two holes in the fender anyways...

If you ever replace the rear GT emblem on truck, I had stripes painted on and the only way came off was to break it, yes looks metal, but it's plastic, $40
