Default Not impressed...........

So after vast amounts of research, reading forums and watching youtube videos I decided to purchase my exhaust I thought I wanted. I ordered the Magnaflow #16574. I was a little worried that it was going to be too loud for my liking but I decided to get that one anyway. I was worried about obnoxious drone and everything else that comes with exhaust that's too loud. My exhaust was delivered yesterday and I installed it today. I am not happy with it at all. I would say that there is probably at the most a 10% improvement over stock as far as sound quality. It wasn't too hard to install but like I said, I wish I went with something else. Maybe I should have gotten the catback system. For those of you who have this exhaust....does it get any louder with age? I dunno...maybe I was expecting too much. I should have just gone with the Roush. I'm done venting.

Exhaust needs a couple of weeks to "break" in FYI. Give it a couple of weeks then comment on it.

New my GT was quieter than my sixer and I hated it. After a couple of weeks the stock exhaust sounded much better. Same goes for aftermarket.

I just read that Magnaflow claims 500-600 miles "break in" period. I'm considering the same exhaust myself. Please go drive 600 miles and let me know.

Catbacks provide no additional gains; HP or sound: over axlebacks on these engines. Give it some time. If it still doesn't suit you, feel confident that you join the ranks of many that have had to go by trial and error.

No, I didn't get the x-pipe. Maybe that will be in the future but it won't happen any time soon. I'm driving up to Foxboro to the Patriots vs. Dolphins game this weekend so I'll be able to put about 500 miles on it or so. I wasn't looking for HP gains, just a better sound to announce my presence. It did that but I was looking for a little bit louder.
