Default Picked up some audio gear!

Finally planned and picked out my audio gear.

Decided to try MTX this time around, pretty sure I will be happy with it. I'm not looking to wake the neighbors or win any comps.

I got:
(1) MTX TS5510-44 10" 4ohm DVC sub
(1) MTX TE601D 600x1 @ 2ohm mono amp
(1) MTX re-Q
(2) MTX TDX6802 6x8 2 way coaxial speakers.
(1) Streetwires PSK04R 4gauge amp kit.

Pics:

I already installed the front speakers. They were not a direct replacement as two of the four holes didn't line up. But it was easy to just use the stock screws and tap new holes.
Nice improvement in sound. I didn't take pics of the install because there is a good write up floating around.

I'm hopefully going to pick up some sound deadening tomorrow so I can start the rear deck install. Pretty sure I will run into mounting hole alignment problems there too, but shouldn't be that hard to fix.

Then I will start on the building the box for the sub. I'm just going to build a simple seal box unless I fell like getting crazy. I will have it form to the back seats and down the step in the back of the trunk, leaving room to raise the floor and get the spare out.

I already installed the rear speakers. I didn't photo it as it was way too easy to do and I had some fitment issues with the speakers.

You need to remove the two bottom side panels, they are held on with 2 plastic push pins for each side. One on top and one on bottom. I had a hell of a time with the top one even with the right tools. I just pull as much as I could out and clipped it.
Then you just need to remove the deck panel, which is held on with 4 plastic push pins. After that it just pulls right out and there you have access to the speakers.

I knew there would be some fitment issues with the speakers but it was a pain because I took my time and used the stock hardware, looking at the speakers from the trunk you can't even tell an mods were done.

Tomorrow I start the sound dampening and designing the box and amp rack.

"Two bottom side panels"? Are you referring to the trim pieces that are right alongside the rear window? The ones that the shoulder seat belt mounts to?

If you fold down the rear seats you will see the panel I'm referring too as it covers two of the plastic push pins on each side to remove the rear deck.
You don't need to remove the trim around the window. I didn't.
You need to pop up the door sills to get that piece out also. I just popped up one side just enough to remove it and put it back in place.

It is really easy, only tools you need is a panel remover to take the plastic push pins out and a 6mm socket wrench to remove the screws holding the speaker in.
