yes, at what temps does this issue rear its ugly head?

Are we talking California cold (60 degrees)?
Or Midwest cold (30 degrees)?
Or Great White North cold (spit freezes before it hits the ground)?!!!

Do you guys jump in the car and expect to take off after starting it up? You should start it up and give it a few minutes to warm up and the problem may disappear. One problem may also be the design of the tranny cooler. In other vehicles the tranny cooler in the radiator helps to not only cool the tranny but also raise the temperature to operating range more quickly in the mornings. These cars have the tranny cooler outside the radiator so they have to warm up on their own.

I thought in the our car manuals it said to NOT warm the car up. ****, I could be wrong though. But yeah, the tranny ONLY acts up when first starting the car or when i FIRST shift into second. So....yeah, you could be right

I wonder if garage parking would help? Tranny stays warmer.

And you likely never will. The TR3650 is far more refined than the T5.

Well, the '05 GT I had with a 5-speed has all kinds of issues. So this new 2010 is a breath of fresh air

about mid to low 40's, which is what we've been experiencing this past week around dusk or dawn here in the wonderful DC metro area

Same transmission. Hopefully this time will be better for you. The TR3650 is generally positively regarded.
