I have had a V6 premium for a couple of months. I bought it because i think it's better looking than the GT (yes, just general appearance). I got the candy apple red metalflake and 18" polished wheels. Yesterday i ordered Ford Racing full dual exhaust for it, a tuner, cold air kit, and of course the dual cut-out rear bumper valance in the rear. This entire kit i got for $1,300 after taxes. So for me, i have the look i want, and better performance than an Accord!!! By the way i have a 600HP, 11 Second 2002 Lightning sitting next to the new stang. Anyone have directions on how to remove/install the rear lower bumper on the 2010?
The bumper removal should be the same as previous years. Do a search in the DIY section, I think there is a PDF explaining how to remove bumpers and such.
Motor Trend has never had anything good to say about the Mustang V6. The latest comment, "Avoid it."
It doesn't bother me. I bought the car because that is what I wanted. Even my husband was surprised that I opted for the V6 over the GT.
If I wanted a faster car I would have gotten a GT500.
I will say, a member here had a V6 that he took to the races all the time. His best times were with that V6, even faster than his current 5.4 engine! If you have the know how, time and $, the V6 can be made to be a beast, but again, if I wanted that power I would have gotten a Cobra.
Thank you sir!
I was beginning to think I was a weirdo for liking the 2010 sixxer front better than the GT.
I feel better now.
You're not a weirdo pascal, I felt that way too the first time I saw the 2010 V6 front end. Heck, it was the Pony Package front end that sold me on my V6.
They couldn't get a factory Camaro so they got some custom shops version of a Z/28 to compare. I think the GT500 did awesome. What do you think?
Put a Brenspeed Stage I or II upgrade on the GT500 and that Carmaro would get destoryed. Why compaire stock vehicles to a performance shop custom vehicles. OEM vehicles have far stricter limitations that have to be followed.
