Yeah, I thought the OP was talking about the OEMs at first.
I still think that a 255 tire on a 9.5 rim will look funny though...

Honest opinion, you really think the 255s will look funny?
Do my front tires look funny, cause they are 255 on a
9.5 rim.
I'm not trying to be sarcastic, I really do want to know
what your opinion is on the fronts.

I can't tell by your pictures, they're too small.

I like when the tire is sticking out a bit, not flush with the rim or worse, the rim sticking out.
255 on a 8' rim, everything is even (almost).
That's what I got from AM when I ordered my wheel combo with sumitomos.
Now, the same tire on a 9.5' seems narrow to me, because on a 9' rim, 275 is the recommended size, no smaller.

thank you for the input. Damn, part of me wants to keep them
because they do look cool, but then part of me is concerned about
not being able to rotate them. But, I had my 06 Stang for 4 years
and had less then 19,500 miles on it when I traded it in, and I know
the tires were only rotated 3 times while I had it. If I keep these,
I don't have to spend $$ for the 255s.
I'll probably end up keeping the 285s.
