So i bought the wheels on my car with the intentions of having them powdercoated. The place i had in mind went out of business and the only other place was $200 per wheel so i have just left them in gunmetal. I found a guy today that paints wheels for $65 a pop so now i am thinking about it. i have become used to the gunmetal now and think it looks good, but i really always wanted black wheels on the car. What do you guys think, black or stay gunmetal. i am really leaning towards black, he says he can do matte black possibly too. i think matte would look cool, would match the rest of the car well.

I vote gloss black. Matte wheels look cheap to me for some reason. But if you do go with matte, you may as well just get a rattle can or two and do 'em yourself. It's pretty hard to screw up matte lol.

yeah and the other downside is im not sure what matte black will look like.

Edit: now that i think of it, those rtr wheels are called charcoal, but are realyl black and they are matte finish. ithink that woudl work pretty well on my car.

Gloss black would look baaad imo....much better with that bright blue.

Gloss black. Gunmetal doesn't really compliment the color of your stang. IMO, gunmetal, gray, anthracite, etc make the wheels look dirty. That color only seems to work on very selective schemes.

lol, what's wrong with the tires exactly? jsut about ever 18" running stang out there uses the same 255/45-18 front and 285/40-18 rears.

Not trying to offend you dude, but they look like the ones that come on the 2011 V6 which I don't like. Honestly, I liked the rims the way they are so the only thing I'd change is the tires.

I vote gloss black because I personally like contrast and I think it would go very well with your nice car.
