yea i did right after I got the car
i just used a regular matte black spray paint.

I wanted something a bit less permanent so I vinyled mine matte black. I really like it

I just painted my 5.0 emblems flat black and left the dot red... since my car is white it looks awesome imo.

I blacked out my faux cap and fender emblem using plasti dip.
That stuff never comes off unless you peel it off. If you want them off, all you gotta do is just peel it off. Search on youtube

05xrunner - Did you remove the badges when you painted them? If so, how hard were they to take off and reinstall? Did you scuff them with some sandpaper, primer, then paint? How is the finish holding up? I was planning on painting mine next weekend.

the GT badges were easy to get off with the old fishing line..the rear badge was a PAIN..you cant use the fishing line to cut any tape..you have to basically slowly pry at it till it pops off the back. I scuffed them all up with a red scotch brite pad and havnt had any issues with the finish.

There are lots of pictures of people that have painted the rear decklid emblem. Some of them pretty elaborate and very cool. One that i saw was painted and left the GT symbol and the FORD letters another color. That one was pretty cool. I went another route and just removed the whole thing and put the CDD blackout panel on. For about $30 dollars you can buy the blacked out 5.0 emblems on ebay. Thats the route i went and i kept my chrome ones just in case i wanted to put them back on.
