It sounds like he took delivery and is saying he doesn't want to go back bc of the drive/distance.

Yeah I've already pulled the dealer stickers and threw away the license plate cover in the dealerships trashcan out front when they handed it to me lol. They were the only people in the 300 mile radius who had exactly what I wanted in regards to options and all their cars have pin-stripes *fail*

They told me they would take it off for free if I didn't want it so it's not an issue of money or them screwing me over. I knew exactly what I was getting into but I just was wondering if I could spend an afternoon drinking beer and messing with my car instead of wasting tons of gas driving to sit at a dealership while someone else does the work. I think I'm gonna try the Over Cleaner trick today and hope for the best. If it turns out horrible, then I guess I'll get painted on details instead of vinyl sooner than expected!

Oh, it is certainly something you can do yourself. When I was in HS I interned at a body shop for a bit and they removed that type of stuff all the time. Any of the suggestions mentioned will work, as that is all they are going to be doing at the dealership. Just take your time and be careful.

Smile No more pin stripe!

I decided to go with the oven cleaner and q-tip method. Worked like a champ! The oven cleaner didn't take more than a few seconds for it to start coming right off. I don't think any part of the paint was exposed to it for more than 45 seconds to a minute during the whole process. It took about an hour per side but I paid 4 bucks for some oven cleaner instead of 45 bucks for gas and 2 hours at the dealer! Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
